The 40 years of FATECSP were celebrated in September 2010 with an event that involved professors, students, employees and some personalities, who actively participated in the creation of the courses and developed the first activities of the college. The event's program included competitions, cultural and sports activities, tributes to professors, employees and former students who represented the 40 years of the Civil Construction and Mechanics courses at FATEC-SP. The opening of the event brought the history of the creation of FATEC-SP courses through a dramatization presented by the master of ceremonies who, at times, presented speeches by the then governor Roberto Costa de Abreu Sodré, creator of the technology courses in the State of São Paul.
