Espaço Projeta Arte Fatec-SP was born in October 2016, from the articulation of students linked to the Department of Buildings, as an annual activity associated with the Technology Congress. It aimed, at first, to meet the wishes and claims of students regarding bringing a visual arts space dedicated to them, inside a technology college, however, it materialized in the sense of fulfilling a social role, since among others , serves as an incentive for the emergence of sensitivity, self-knowledge, creativity, the expansion of the process of awareness, socialization and social transformation, in addition to stimulating the very discernment of Contemporary Art, and the many forms of support and artistic expressions. It should be added here that, in addition to the fact that the Space is directed to the artistic expressions of the students, and those who have recently graduated in the last five years, the activities developed in the Project contribute to a greater approximation between the students themselves, between the students and the faculty, and in turn with the academic community and many others, enabling students to “make known how they are also capable of producing in the area of Visual Arts”.
